A City Lost

Over time, the precise location of Solomon and Herod's Temple has been lost and forgotten. Scholars have argued about the precise location; however, nobody knows exactly where it was located. Tradition tells us it was near the Dome of the Rock, but can we know this for sure?
In Matthew 24, the Bible prophesied that the Temple would be "thrown down," and "not one stone would be left upon another." Similarly, Micah prophesied that Jerusalem would be "plowed like a field." Historical records confirm that both predictions came true. But with everything lost to history, how can we know where the Temple once stood?
